July ’14

I never know what to say to start out these fine art images. I have been trying to grow and develop and create some goals for myself. But I’m also very easily distracted and tend to go wherever the wind blows. So I guess this month I will post one of both, one I agonised over (thankyou for your help though Susan!) and one I blew to. I’m so glad to have this lovely little group as an outlet and a focus xx

‘Where the Birds Always Sing’

wherethebirds - againS

and ‘Ordinary World’

Thanks for looking and please head on over to one of my favourite fine art photographers Katie of Kate Suzanne Photography to see what she will delight us with this month :)

  • These are both beautiful!!! I completely agree and relate to the self-portrait comment. And I love that in your opening, you talk about goals but then get distracted and “go where the wind blows.” These images express that so well! I love the story they tell, the emotions, and how they make you wonder about the model. Gorgeous job and YES, submit to some galleries!!!

  • Eeeek! Amazing!!! Love how you are incorporating repeating elements into each photograph in this series. I sincerely hope that you print these and present them to a few galleries. This series will make an incredible exhibit. Only wish I lived closer so that I can see them in person one day. And I agree with everything Pamela has said.

  • Really like your work and the way you see things.

you never disappoint & ‘where the birds sing’ is one of my favorites you’ve ever presented. i like the metaphors here – the other self, the door, the birds, the landscape. i understand it all as the other self that’s wild and free, soft, flowy, expressive and out of focus in a world that’s firm, closed and confrontational. feels like a self portrait (for me as well!)
